ye it,s good line ,only fault i can find with it it tends to lift up of a multiplier when casting.its a good line to use over rough ground as it has good abresive qualitys.

i don't like red ice at all, if you want a 25 lb line go for suffix tritanium or if you want lighter line i always go for diawa sensor or ultima f 1.

I am not normally too bothered by line but I have to say when I put on 30lb red ice to my boat reel it rotted in no time at all meaning loads of lost fish and rigs. In saying that I would assume that there was a problem with my particular batch as it couldnt be that bad

my 18 lb f1 kept snapping too easily over the rough ground yesterday, going back to and sticking to suffix tritanium 20 lb upwards from now on.

Most of the Ultima line is over rated in my book. But I do use the F1 in black and the Tournament Gold. I use the Black F1 in Florida so the Pelicans can see it and don't get tangled up, you wouldn't want to have one of those things fly off with your rod and reel
The Tournament Gold is great for casting and lays on the reel fantastic, I've never had problems with either snapping over rough ground.

Mind you, I use it because I get it free   if I have to buy line I always get Sufix Synergy, it is without question in my book the best line ever made 8) 8)

I did get some stuff in Florida called Cajun Red, over there its quite cheap to buy and the locals swear by it, for offshore fishing it disappears in a few feet of water.

btw.... I agree all of the Ultima line is over priced :(

Tom.
