12/11/13 greystones pier

#1 Post by Kgarr »

People:myself

Duration:30 minutes

Tide: half in

Weather: mild, no wind

Bait: isome worm; brown

Rigs:1-4gram rovex, 4lbline, 2gram jig head

Results: 5 Pollack, 18-32cm

Report: sh1tty day in work, head melted, greystones pier only 20 mins away, LRF gear was at the ready in the boot, time for some fishing therapy. I'm working in Sandyford and although dunlaoirghe is closer the walk to the end of the pier is too long with a window this tight! Greystones is just so effortless when LRF'ing :D
isome was only in the water 5 mins when BANG! first fish on, little Pollack took the worm as it was just about to leave the water! Instant stress relief!!! Felt the smile return to my face as I reeled him in.
as luck would have it I landed another 4 Pollack in the next 25 mins, with the heaviest giving me a good thrashing on my light gear. Missed a violent take mid way through. left feeling much better, lots more LRFing over the winter methinks! :D

This gear was very cheap, just dipping my toe in the water here, rod was 22quid, reel 30 from anglers paradise in finglas.
I can see myself upgrading very soon8)
