Getting unlikely to catch bass on the lure from now on but it's not impossible. I'm heading out lure fishing myself tomorrow
I've blanked the last three lure sessions but was getting fish on the Up to two weeks ago.

Fish away mad

No not too late, I have had some good lure fishing for Bass this week myself. On soft and hard lures.
Once water temp drops below 10 degrees you will struggle, In the meantime fish away just slow things up regards retrieve etc.
The following site will give you a rough idea of water temp. http://www.met.ie/latest/buoy.asp

Re: am i to late ?
They were on a fiish black minnow 12g. It does not cast as far as a SG sandeel but I don't think in my experience it gets stuck as often. 46g is pretty heavy and so would take a bit of winding to keep off the bottom. If your tackle will cast alright with a lighter one perhaps that would work better. I have seen them rigged weedless but take a lot of modification.
Best of luck
