Hi folks, I agree fully with the points made regarding that session and I don't think the video should have been put in the public domain.
With that said, I spent a while watching the behavior of the sets and rogues at a spot I know literally all my life and have witnessed in all weathers. Throughout the session we monitored oncoming waves and watched for changes in conditions. We all have our own motivations and reasons for making the personal choices that we do. I fully agree that such sessions are ill-advised and as such, i would not recommend that ANYBODY head out in such conditions under any circumstances.

ah tisnt as dangerous as it looks, its relatively safe.theres a stairs with a railing right behind us...i do agree would should have had lifejackets but being the unplanned impromptu "session" (if you could even call it that) it was we didnt have them with us and did not stay long.just a quick look and a quick cast is all it was.ive taken the link down as i am not trying to promote fishing in these conditions i just filmed it because its not something i usually do or plan to do again.cheers for the concern lads but i think both myself and sailnfish would not put ourselves at risk for fishing.
