Hi ya there is a smaller size 2500 but the 3000 weighs 310 g mainly coz of the full aluminium body max drag is 5.0 kg,6 steel ball bearings,anti rust technology,advanced braking system,max drags system.that's what's on the box anyway sounds more like a car ha ha but I have mine now a year with no problems wave soaking and all.

Alright catcher! paid 55 for the salty. Nice rod no complaints at all with it . Not the slimmest but it fishes very well and seems to be toughly built. Feels nice with my 4000 size aernos on it.

Thanks man,i have 6 ft version which I use from boat it's only rated 7g to 20g but it has no problem with big fish must take a look at the 8 ft version.
