So we were all ready for the shark session. On the boat. All planed for week. Gear loaded and off we went . Half way there we got the call . A bit of a chop in the water. So session canceled. . With the day fecked up. We said we would head for the shore. Change of gear and on the beach by 12. Lines out and it was flat clam. Half a hour and I saw dermo rod tip go nod nod. . . And a nice little turbot landed. Smiles all round. And my rod to went 10 min after. And a dubble turbot landed. Things went quite on full water and the Small bit of a wave that died off at full water. So off two mark number 2' we set up and belted out at distance. And I had the LRF rod with me ( some crack with that). So that kept us laughing. First was pollack small ones by the bucket full then collies massive fighters on light gear. Corkwing wrasse ballin wrasse. The pollack started getting bigger best was a lb and that's great sport on 4lb braid. The big rods were starting to go with dogs first on the baits but dermo got a massive nock and a shake with a missing hook on the retrieve. ( conger was my guess) and we got them before but only small 2/3lb. So new rig and beefed up with big baits. The nice surprise was we pick up 2 Huss as the dark came in. And his rod went again with lighting fast refiexs. And a great fight a fine 7lb 8oz conger came in. So on that note with a few small pollack again on the light gear . And smiles all round we called it a day. Not a bad ending to a bad start. 8 species.
great session dan, plenty to keep you busy there!, hate when the sea fcuks up the boat sessions, but better to be safe , welldone to you both on the fine shore fishing

Cheers legend, we were busy most of the day so time went quick.i know there was a small breeze but I'm wondering was the skipper not bothered and called it off.ive been out ina lot lot worse.
