7HT MAG PROBLEM

hi lads having probs with me 7ht mag when I release the spool
its taking a few turns to engage when I opened to have a look
the only thing that looks worn down is the anti reverse pawl
number 23 on parts diagram can any one help me what this
and the best place to get parts for it.

give the sides of the free spool button a good clean with a tooth brush and a spray of wd40 if sand and salt is left build up in this area it prevents the button releasing.

Take the handle endplate off, then take it apart. You'll see the freespool mechanism, its pretty obvious. If you want to do it properly then take the whole thing apart, clean it, re-grease it and put it back together. If you are just looking to get it working again, spray degreaser onto it, cycle it a few times, then when its dry smear grease all over it.

DO NOT use WD40, it will get it working again but it won't provide any long lasting protection or lubrication.
