A mark of my own ;) , Dingle, 15/09/13

People: Myself

Duration: 2hrs

Tide: ebbing

Weather: Choppy and windy

Bait: Plugs, poppers and soft plastics

Rigs: Plugs, poppers and soft plastics

Results: 3 nice bass upto about 4Lb

Report: I was quiet bored all day so loaded a couple rods and boxes i the transporter and bogged off to a mark of mine off whats called Hussies Folly. The weather was a bit nasty but good conditions for plugging and such so set up three rods, the two Abu Devils are rigged for plugs and poppers so set on up with an abu rocket popper in a blue and silver colour, the other a Rappala MaxRap bone white with purple jaw (can't remember the actual colors). Then set up a new addition to the rod case an Abu Garcia Vendetta 6ft medium action casting rod with an Abu Silvermax baitcaster loaded with power pro braid rigged that with a berkley mounted sandeel in white color just to try out really, started out with the popper but after 15mins decided conditions weren't suiting at all, changed to the new rod as my patience was running thin and i could wait no longer, flung out the sand eel and medium retrieval with a few big and small twitches to add some nice action to it, third cast out and BANG a beautiful silver bar put heat in the rod and testing the drag system. After a nice battle I hauled in what was to be the biggest of my little day out about 4lb my guess (no scales). After that things went quiet for about a half an hour so swapped over to the maxrap and had another two lovely bass of 2-3lb in about 15 mins. Started pissing down after another fifteen so left it at that.
A lovely break in for my new rod! :D also had a bit of difficulty getting to grips with a baitcaster but got the hang eventually :P

Fungi's always lurking around the place, didn't see him around so could have made the fishing easier. :)
