best braid dim for casting

just wondered whats the best braid tick ness for long range shore fishing is Berkley whiplash .06 20 pound line to tin

20 lb or 30 lb in most brands will be fine i have yet to find a modern braid that wont do the job for bait fishing ,even a cheap one will do ,use a shock leader to cut down on wear on your braid and to keep your fingers attached to your hand :wink:

On my fixed spool reel that I use for beach fishing I use power pro 30lb & a 50lb shock leader. Just make sure your reel has good line lay.
