Huge six-gill shark caught and released
IRELAND: Aug 29, 2013
Angler Luke Aston has certainly proved over the years that if someone really wants to get stuck into a big fish that his boat is the one to choose.
Every season his anglers manage to produce a couple of six-gill sharks, including one over 1000 lbs caught 3 years ago. Just yesterday luck angler Dentlif Geeling was delighted to be the guy who hooked into Luke’s first six-gill of the season.
Earlier in the week Luke’s crew had enjoyed good blue shark fishing with 5 blues taken while pollack fishing. But when the shark rod gave a nod on his sixgill mark he couldn’t have hoped for a better result.
After an exhausting struggle Dentlif brought the enormous shark to the side of the boat where it was measured at 3,4 m and estimated to weigh 770 lbs - 350 kg –. With a fish this big caught and released.

Guess he got a hard time learning this lession, customer is king fwiw but not in specific cases like these. Fair play to Luke, he is one of the hardest working skippers here, I wouldn't like to hear a bad word about him. I consider him as one of the real gents and his knowledge is second to none.
