a few days late on this report sorry.. i was called out to fish last night..

so last weekend I decided to head to the Wexford coast to try and catch my first ever smooth hound, they are a species that we just don't get up here from the shore in my native Red Bay, well, not that I have heard of anyway! i had never even seen a smooth hound let alone catch one before..
so lets just say that the target species was caught

i'd like to give a big thank-you to the lads on here that responded to my posts and PMs on the subject and provided me with great advice on how best to approach catching my first smooth hound - invaluable help and very kind! i got some great responses from a good number of people but the biggest thanks of course goes to one of the lads in particular who met up with me, guided me to the marks, and then ghillied me the rest of the day

well chuffed

enjoy the pics
cheers
