Surface lures at night?

#1 Post by nicefish »

I'm going to do a bit of night time Bass plugging, have never fished surface lures at night any tips, or should i stick to shallow lures and sp's as it is a very rough ground?

IMO any lure will work at night, it's more about the shape and action than the colour, if you can find a good spot that produces in daytime than it should be the same at night. Don't wade around the water and don't use lights, they should be onthe hunt in close for sandeels so will get easily spooked. When you cast let it sit for about 20 seconds then retrieve, don't bring too many lures either, work with what you bring. I would try a feed shallow that will work if they're about the action is great on this and it makes a bit of noise. Be confident and tight lines.
