Waterford - Passage East - Thursday 29th Dec '05

#1 Post by John D »

People: Me, Graham and brother Greg

Duration: About 2 hours

Tide: I'm not sure when high tide was

Weather: Extremely cold with very strong winds and constant rain

Bait: Fresh lug and mussel. Frozen sandeel, razorfish and peeler crab.

Rigs: 2 hook paternoster

Results: A couple of flounder, codling and coalfish.

Report: We started at the bend but got blown out of it. One half decent flounder was taken on sandeel here. We moved down to the harbour and were restricted to fishing into it. When we cast out the current and weed were just too bad to keep casting out into it. None of the fish were big. All under a pound. We really got hammered by the weather and decided to pack up early and head home.
