2005 species list

I’m putting my species list for 2005 as this has been done for the last couple of years. Just put fish species and bait and mark where it was first caught during the year. I only shore fish but if you want put up boat caught fish but indicate which fish. I’ve upped my species list from 14 last year to 16. To make a decent go of this I’d really want to do a bit of rock fishing and get down to kerry to expand my ray species but I don’t get time for this. 14 of my 16 species were caught in the estuary. Of the list Sting ray and smelt are new species for me.

aswel as the 11 species mentioned here that i have caught at kilteery i have had a small tope,small codling,(in previous years) and have seen rockling, sum small black fish with large teeth duno what it was and probably more i cant think of at the moment so good fishing here.

Not a bad years fishing but should have had more species but I was only out on the boat twice so I missed out on spur dog,rays.haddock,red gurnard.I possibly had two more new species Short spined sea scorpion and Five spotted wrasse but not sure I should have got better photos to identify them from :oops: .I`ll try for 40 this year. :wink: :lol:
