People:myself, andy, barry and uel

Duration:uel and barry7am start me and andy 11am start finished 2.30pm

Tide:low and filling for the afternoon

Weather:attrocious!! wind rain and sleet

Bait:rag mackerel

Rigs:3 hook flappers

Results:poor


Report:2 flounder and 4 turbot caught all day!!!! :cry:

You really need lug on benone if the temperature is cold

i know but couldnt be bothered gettin any!, just went out to kill a few hours!!
from past experience fishin benone round this time of year the bulk of flounder have came on lug/mack
with the conditions today even idf u cast out fresh lug it would have became frozen lug by the time it hit the water!!it was freezin!!!good to see a few turbot appearing though.

Always thought Turbot were primarily a Summer species :shock:

the bigger turbot are normally got here during the summer months and into autumn i think.more seem to turn up around this time of year although normally quite small in general.

Poor Phil. My heart bleeds for you,you must have been frozen, and all our wives and girlfriends think we go fishing to enjoy ourselves. Thanks Phil I will be able to show her this. She will know now it's not all fun and games
