Had a lug once jet it's juices while putting the hook on... got me in the mouth... didn't taste so bad, though I did wretch like a beast at the thought of what it was......

What a waste of good bait has anybody told what he could catch with them proper food like fish?
I have not fished in two years hoping to change that this year with anything ?

My Uncle (not me) chewed one up in front of me. he spat it out and said they tasted the same as mussels. i asked him why he spat it out and he answered "they could have been dug anywhere" - there was no wincing or gagging and i believe him.
