Two sided flounder

Location: east coast

People: me and bigfish

Duration : 5 till 8

Bait: fresh peeler and rag

Not much of a report really the target was hounds. I blanked and big fish got 3 flounder.
Flounder number 3 was a bit odd. A flounder that was Brown on both side's. Never seen one like that before.

Species '20 (14) 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Codling, Whiting, Pollock, Coalfish, Pouting, Corkwing Wrasse ,Ballan Wrasse, Poor Cod, Dab ,Smoothhound,Flounder, Thornback Ray

A hound would be an unusual catch for me. Third season trying and only a couple of pups caught.:grin::grin::grin:

It's a funny one he is a real camaflague flounder.

I have an indepth article regarding flounders (i think Irish Angler did it a few years back, must dig it out for ya!!), and they tend to mate with dabs and Plaice, breaking the gene cycle, thought this is a strange one it has been reported before BUT its great you took a video of it :) also came across another vid of a two-sided flounder.
