Irelands Eye 01/06
People:Me
Duration: 11 - 17.00
Tide: Rising
Weather: Fine
Bait: Lures : SP's, Zonk, Kilty, Shallow Feed.
Rigs:
Results: Pollock, average 1.5 lb
Got the boat over from Howth, last boat was 5 so had to leave just as it was picking up. It has potential though, even at low water there are very deep marks, I'll be back later in the Summer.

No, I got most on slug-go and a few on the red kilty, they were right down in the kelp so the feed shallow was to near the surface, I'd love to try it out there at dusk but last boat is way before that, I think theres some nice size Pollock and Wrasse there for the taking.

Well done. I've always wanted to do that. You fished off the Martello tower size?

Yeah, at the back of the tower facing Lambay Island, a bit tricky on the feet so make sure you have appropriate footwear.

Re: Irelands Eye 01/06
€15 return. I should also mention that it is a bird sanctuary which means it is quite tricky casting full distance with hard body lures or kilty as theres birds flying all over the shop. There is a nice beach there which looks like it could be good for flats if beachcasting.

That beach is very stoney, at the bottom. Quite deepRichie07 wrote:€15 return.
