People: myself fmd

Duration: 3 hours

Tide: hw down

Weather: glorious

Bait: crab, rag, lures

Rigs: ledgering

Results: 1 shore rockling 22

Report: was working most of saturday and sunday - wanted to get out for a session badly, with the weather were having!
got to the spot and saw the tell tale signs of blue disposable gloves - mostly worn by partners given gutting duty
plus the other associated rubbish of plastic ring holders for cans, soft drink bottles and chopped up line -what is it with these people
after the long weekend and another just gone of fine weather - i knew this wasnt promising

decided to tempt out a few small wrasse - was getting nibbles from the off but just could not connect - this remaied for an hour - decided to quit and go spinning, but this was dead also
FMD was having the same trouble
got tired of the spinning and went back to ledgering - same again loads of little nibbles

there were litterally thousands of sprat/baitfish at our feet
every so offten the small pollack would dash and break them uup

i downsized my lure to temp them but no

a few bass cruised by in a shoal and one took an interest in my lead on the retrieve - but they were gone before i had a hold of the spining rod

late on i lost the lead on my wrasse set up but just left the worm free lined in the water
went back for a final spin

had litterally packed up everything and remembered the rod - pulled it in and there he was a blank saving shore rockling 8)

looks like a spot with plenty of pressure on it - might need a month or 2 of rain to let it improve!!!
