A quiet day in south mayo

meself and gin gin:

2pm- 6pm:

high at 4thirty,very weak/b]:

sunny, light breeze:

rancid frozen/refrozenmack, Razor,squid, sandeel /b]:

lures , 2 hook flapper:

Results
No pollack, no mackerel, no flounder, no turbot , 1 spotted ray.....:





Was going to go sea kayaking today, then deicded to yak on the lake in the morning , followed by shore fishing for some 'eatin' fish, as I fancied fresh goujons of pollack or flounder...
Headed out to a rocky shore that gets little action, hoping the lack of fishing pressure would result in fish... nope...
threw all sortsa lures at them, float fished, nothing.
thankfully I'd brought the bait rod along and whatever horrific refreeze monsters I could dig outta the freezer.....
It was the razor that caught the attention of the only fish of the session... a small spotted ray.
fished on for another 3 hours, nothing but the nod of crabs... that's fishing...
lasagne it is so.
