Rosslare is fishing very well at the moment with loads of hounds in the 50cm to 75cm bracket with the odd 90cm plus thrown in, it looks like this could be a great nights fishing.

The first place prize in each section, Big fish or match score, is a Trabucco Cattura MN 120 X-Tra 500 valued at 270 euro.

Rods sponsored by Waterford Outdoor & Angling Centre and Nationwide Baits.

They are top of the range beach casting rods, developed in conjunction with Michele Nardi. After extensive testing they have created a rod that while remaining sensitive, can reach the very limits of beach casting with ease. The credit for this goes to the new materials available combined with a very accurate and experienced project team. The HM carbon has been enhanced with a pioneering process which has made the realisation of what is now undoubtedly the most advanced Beach Ledgering rod on the market possible. Alconite Fuji guides, Fuji Gold plate reel seat, rubber knob and triple solid carbon tip. The new Cattura is destined to become the object of desire for anglers at the highest levels of the sport.

CX-2 Nano-Tek Carbon
"Cross Winding" reinforced blank
Woven Carbon joints
3 Solid Carbon tip:
Green => ultra sensitive
Yellow => calibrated
Red => shock leader use
Fuji Alconite guides - Fuji Gold reel seat

More top prizes to be announced.
