Baile Átha Cliath 27-5-13

#1 Post by roger de dodger »

People:me and shane h

Duration:7.30 till 1.30

Tide:feckin huge 8)

Weather:steady force 3 right in your teeth but dry!

Bait:crab

Rigs:pully

Results:one bxxs ,two flounder and 14 kick ass hounds

Report:with big tides and everthing a month behind we took a gamble on leaving bray and did an exit stage right instead of exit stage left  dug a few lug as hw was late and we where too early to fish
no weed about !hip hip hooray 8) as the tide flooded the flounder found our baits pulling like mad things at our pully rigs ,shane was first in with a little flounder 28 cm , the wind was sapping our casts prob only getting 70 to 80 yards ,i noticed a nice pull down on the rod and a slack liner struck and happy days fish on good scrap but not what we wanted stupid bXXs about 7 or 8 lb when released he went belly up  but a tap in the ass with my rod tip woke him up and off he went none the worse for wear batter or any table condiments  our hopes where fading at this stage when shane got slack lined and bingo out of the darkness popped a nice hound what followed was two hours of mayhem 8) with fish after fish running off with our peeler no monsters but not all small either 8) all fish went back kicking and screaming one managed to slap shane in the mouth with its tail ,this i may add was deserved after him laughing his head off after me landing in the water inbetween two rocks with a hound under me attemting to impale me on a pennel hook   its not often i go for a dip but when i do i do it in style
we packed up and headed home with grins from ear to ear
love it when a plan comes together dont you ! 8)

Ah I knew in me bones we should have went down the pier, but we did'nt have much hope. Defeated before we even started...lol

To make it worse we would normaly be fully suited and booted for all weather but I guess it just wasnt ment to be.

Well done man.
