had planned a trip to Donegal at the weekend but the weather had something to say about that so just stayed local.
we arrived at the mark that I haven't fished this year yet. its rough patchy ground so thought we would try r hand at some bottom fishing first. kept losing gear so I decided to leave my rod in the water in the hope that something would come and take the bait. it was time for abita lure fishing as the tide was pushing in so me and the bro put on pearl blue sidewinder shads on. was quiet at first but then the bro got a take. a Pollock at 2 lb mine came shortly after 3lb Pollock then another 2 pollock at 2 1/2 lb they all were caught withn half an hour. my 3lber give a great fight trying to dive to the bottom. sadly daryl blanked. with nothing taking my bait I decided to reel the bottom rod in and it was dead weight on my rod so I thought it was weed and to my surprise it was a starfish
we hada good day but was so lookin forward to Donegal and the weather once again destroyed my plans
