The 'Stones 06/05/13

#1 Post by stevo74 »

People: Myself

Duration:19:00-21:00

Tide: HW @ 22:30

Weather: Mild, clear skies with Southerly wind

Bait: Lures

Rigs:

Results:One sea trout

Report:

Headed out hoping to tempt a rogue mack or pollack, anything so i could christen the new rod! Nothing happened the first hour or so when on my last cast before changin the lure I got an electric hit - I wasn't ready, fish jumped right out n thought i was gonna lose it....quickly checked drag. Damn, coudn't feel anything as i reeled in but lucky she was still there and swam right in along the shore-no fight left so brought it in,turned out to be very well hooked so may need a nose job!. Took a quick pic, weighed it (1 1/4 lb) then released her.

Was well chuffed with me first East coast Sea trout and now the new rod had lost it's virginity(it was over very quick  )

later
