Finally some action

#1 Post by standerus »

People:Myself

Duration: Less than a minute!

Tide:HW

Weather:Cloudy, warm, wind slowing down

Lure: hardbait

Results: ap 5lbs

Report:

Well, it took me some time to get in contact with fish.
Last week met with one of the forum members and must say, that he helped me a lot with understanding the place a bit more.
Today had to drive to Cork airport and came to the spot propably to late, or, maybe - right on time?
For few days winds were strong and the swell was quite demanding for shore lure fishing. Plenty of weed, every cast was +- the same, after few spins of handle lure was completly covered with weed.
But, second cast of the day, just right before my lure gathered those bloody algaes a serious thump on the rod tip and yes, first bass of 2013 was here :D :D :D
Nice fish, well awaited. Scale showed 5lbs, but it is not exactly the most precise (a grip with bult-in scale) so hard to say, not that it was of any importance :D
For a long time haven't been so happy :D
After few pics fish went back to water, where it belongs.

Ah good to see you off the mark.I'v given up until after the break.I'v been out countless times over the last 2-3 weeks with only a foul hooked dab to show for it.There just seems to be nothing showing up on any of my usual marks.I'll stick to the piking for a bit ,its keeping me busy with some good fish starting to show.
