Report
The fishing was pretty bleak up on the north coast so me and the bro got a few days of work and headed down to the south east coast on a bass hunt for our first 2 bass. plus any other speicies that comes along .
I got some info earlier last week on were to get bait and I went to joe in courttown he directed me to joe in wexford south east baits who was very informative on marks and bait rigs and tides so a big thanks to them 2 guys cause without them I prob would of been lost.

later on that night r baits fell to a couple of dabs and the bro reeled in a specimen plaice couldn't believe it it was a pb at 3lb, cracker fish. but sadly no bass shown
2nd mark the wind had picked up and there was a surf building (perfect for bass) so we got set up and chucked the baits out and had a couple of flounders and dogs mostly with a few more dabs it was very windy and then the rain strted so we packed up early. dam u rain and wind I wouls say if we hada stayed id say there would of been a few bass knocking about.
3rd mark we made r way down thinking r chance of a bass is over we were going home after this session and we were so wrong. I baited up with 2 big juicy crab and the bro did also, it wasn't long before the flounder were nibbling with lots of small bites but then my rod went bang bang bang I quickly struck the rod and I was in, I was on edge to say the least my heart thumping thinking this is it reeled it in more and then I see with my polerized glasses a big mouth come up from the water. and to my delight it was a Bass

reeled it on in and it was in my hands. what a feeling it was. nicest fish id ever caught. I shouted and roared. the other anglers across from us prob thought I was mad.

it was a cracker trip down on the south east coast and I think ill be back to try my hand at a few smoothies.
thanks to south east baits joe and and everyone who give me info before I went down

heres a few pics.
