Wicklow 26/4/2013

#1 Post by bassboy »

People:me and my dad

Duration:8pm to 2am

Tide:hw at 12:30

Weather:calm north winds but got much rougher

Bait:rag and mac

Rigs:three hook flappers

Results:whiting,coal fish,pollock,dab ,plaice ,shore rockling

After an hour of making ground bait we headed out to Wicklow .When we arrived the tide was almost fully in even though it said hw was at 12:30! First cast we tangled in each other but ended up catching a little coal fish and a whiting. After that the bites were non stop every cast we were getting bites. We ended up catching about thirty fish but then the tide started to come in more and the wind picked up and it was impossible to see bites so we had to move .we caught one more rocking a crab and a whiting. RAGWORM was far the best bait mackerel was coming back untouched It was in the end a lovely night with a fool moon and stars .sorry I don't know how to post pics
