Inishowen Beach, Co Donegal, 31/3/2013

#1 Post by Sweetwrasse »

People: Ciaran McFish and Myself

Duration:17.30-21.30

Tide: Rising

Weather: Clear and cold, East/SE wind

Bait: frozen mack

Rigs: 3 hook flappers

Results: Plenty of fresh air

Report: Up home for the long weekend and thought it would be rude not to wet a line and see if anything was biting. As it happens, nothing was biting, with baits coming back untouched all session. Maybe foolish of me to fish a beach mark in these conditions but despite the lack of fish it was an enjoyable session. Sometimes it really is good just to be out! Fished an hour of darkness to see if we could pick up even a sympathetic coalie but it just wasn't happening so decided to head home and tuck into the easter eggs 8)
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!

Thanks JW. I was 50:50 between beach and pier marks all day. Decided on the beach in the end as I just really like beach fishing and find it more relaxing. Had plenty of blanks off piers too though

It'll pick up soon no doubt, they'll hopefully be feeding hard when it does. Hard luck on the rays Cathald.

Hard luck on the blank,,,think this winter has set more records besides the weather,,,,probably the worst winter fishing seen since records began..or the start off this site!
