Galway Bay SAC, Two Day Shore Festival 11 & 12 May

Hi All,

Galway Bay SAC are delighted to present our two day shore festival out of Westport on the 11th and 12th of May.
1 day session will be on the beach and the other day session will be on the Islands in Clew Bay

There will be 4 zones each day (based on an entry of 50 anglers)

Pools for longest round, flat and most species

The base for the weekend will be The Helm, on the Quay in Westport
Accomodation at a special rate is being provided so mention you are with the angling festival when booking

Well done to kieran Begadon who won our 2 day open. he was first in his zone both days - 15 flats and 6 dogs in the two sessions

Edward Kilroy won the zone B on saturday
John OBrien won zone B today

We were well taken care of in the helm by shane, vinny and all the staff. they also sponsored the main prize of an apartment for a weekend

sean ivory won biggest flat - a turbot of 29cm
fiacra mckenna won biggest round - a huss of 65cm
