Proper wet gear

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Proper wet gear

#1 Post by beachbuddy »

Hi all,
just thought id give people a heads up on some real good wet weather gear.Recently decided after my latest "waterproof" smock leaked that id buy something from the sailing world to protect me from the elements.Saying it for years but outlandish prices always frightened me.
Well found a dealer in the uk called "sailing and clothing store.co.uk",who had and still have some really good discounts on its sailing gear.Yes things still a bit pricey on the initial outlay but should give years of use.To give you an example i bought a Gill kb racer smock rrp £220 sale £99 and £12 postage with the last of my xmas pressie funds  .Pure quality and get this i priced the same smock in a shop near me and it was over 400 euro [rip off].
Well worth checking out if in the market for good value "proper" wet gear.If i get half the years from this smock as a friend of mine that has had a gill jacket nearly since the day he started fishing 10 years ago,i'll be made up 8)
