Dumping?

#1 Post by Drew »

Though not a Environmental Concern, Recently I have noticed a large anmount of the Dumping of Queeny Clam sheels over the Back wall on Donaghadee Pier.

Is this Legal, Should this Commercial waste not be disposed of at Sea?

I'd say after this winter the Topographical Landscape of the Mark will be changed, as I have seen on other Marks I have visited, Namely Port St Mary Breakwater on the Isle of man, Where Commercial dumping has left the end of the Breakwater with a Pile of Shells that must me approximately 10ft Higher than that of the Surrounding Seabed.

I Fear the Same Fate for my favourite Mark...
