Glenties

#1 Post by skateboy »

How atre things, everyone?
I'm after a bit of advice. I'm heading to Glenties in a couple of weeks and i'll be bringing the lure rod, a few plastics, plugs and metals with me. I'm thinking of heading to Nairn (i think) beach. Can anyone recommend anywhere better, or give me any tips on lure fishing Nairn? All advice will be kept on the down-low.
Thanks a million,
Skateboy.

South of the County? Give Pete on this site a pm, he'll know where/when/how. He might not have the latest catch info though, I hear he's emigrated to Cork or Kerry. :D

Gone but not forgotten Gerry  . Tough time of the year to be visiting Skateboy. You could try the rocks adjacent the pier for coalies and the odd pollock. Watch for swell though and forget about it if wind is from northwest. Beach at Nairn be very tough going with lures, outside chance of a sea trout maybe.
