fishing Belmullet

#1 Post by kieran »

Hi

Will be fishing belmullet Sunday 18th December all day for anyone in the area / interested. Big tide 4 m + with HW around 7 pm which is ideal.

Swells are high during the week but diminishing...

Weather forecast is quite reasonable.

Winds 3-11 knots building, almost due S, switching late on to NW.
Slight chance of the odd shower, rainfall listed at below 2 mm.
Temperature 6-10 degrees , i.e. average for time of year.
Air pressure wavering around the 1020 millibars range, high.

Gonna try for flats on the ebbing tide and LW and switch to rock marks for the afternoon on the incoming tide. Probably north end of the peninsula.
Kieran Hanrahan

Time spent fishing is never time wasted...

2015 targets - a triggerfish, a specimen bass, a three bearded rockling to complete the set and something big and toothy from certain north Mayo deep water marks
