Yoghal Beach

#1 Post by seanbah »

People: Me

Duration: 4 hours

Tide: lw

Weather: COLD!!!!!!!

Bait: sandell and crab

Rigs loop rig and 3 hook flapper

Results: 2 whiting 2 collies 1 flounder

Report:Decided to try tonight for a painted ray or something in yoghal beach but no shows :(. fishing was shocking till about 11 at the turn of the tide i started to pull in fish 2 at a time and then just as my luck would have it i get a birds nest on both of my reels so i decided to head home if i did not get those birds nests i would have fished at least another 2 hours as the fishing was just starting to get good. Still good to get out none the less :)

Hard luck on the birdies, at least you had a few fish to show for the trip down.

Ya it was a good enough session the collies were both above 40 but the whiting and flounder were tiny :) It was nice to get out of fishing monkstown anyway lol

nice to get a few fish. Did you not try that for getting out the birds nests does the job for me unless you were using braid

Great little tip that one, I have never heard of it before and I shall be trying it the next time I get a bridie, had one the last time I was out, but I carry 4 multipliers with me and a fixed spool as the final resort.

Best regards Wez
