Not a monster either, but this smooth hound was my first full sized catch, and there was the beach, the sun... and even my better half to take the picture :D

most memorable moment: getting broken off by a BIG fish on 15lb braid from the kayak  drag not set properly

A conger from a pier which a few locals laughed and told me I would catch nothing there. I lost here big sister a few nights before which was I would say was close to 20lbs.

You don't need to fly to Iceland if big dabs rock your boat, and if wrasse take your fancy then head west young man.

Got very little sea-fishing this year, but this guy was definitely my best catch, fly fishing a new estuary mark i spotted a lovely little rocky outcrop that looked like a perfect spot for a sea-trout to lie in ambush, got him on about the 3 rd cast, fought like an absolute demon - so much better than hauling them in on a beach caster. He weighed just over 3 lb, and was my first sea-trout of the year.
