any cork codling
anybody know of much codling being caught in the west cork area. had a shot of them in sept-oct but quite tho. weather aint being too helpful tho. 30 foot waves breaking over the rocks in ballycusheen scares the s*** out of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As soon as the current gale starts to blow out and the pressure goes up you should be in with a chance as sea temperatures (at least on the N coast - see http://www.marine.ie/scientific+service ... ons.htm#M4) are starting to drop a bit at last. That and the pounding the shore is currently taking should rake up plenty of food to lure the cod and whiting in close.
