Looks like a steal :D The same rod costs 150 pounds in the uk !!
I have only heard great things online about the Argento range.

have you ever ordered from this web site before ?

The rod itself looks like something i would like for xmas...

Would be worried about shipping costs & customs ruining the fantastic deal.

Please let us know if you decide to get one.

Cheers wobbie

Searched the net for some reveiws - http://www.breammaster.com/forum/archiv ... 38003.html

Appears this isn't a single shop, it's an ebay type place with numerous sellers on it. You'll notice that the seller the guy recommended on that forum (proshopks) is the one selling this rod.

Was looking at a daiwa reel on the site - you've gotta love some of the reviews translated into English:
"I have you lend the bio trouble trouble there and do an approximately troubleless navel, and this fellow came, but to still catch enough it with kana this to me who am quite near so far without I am in that way forever, and going...".

I'm sure Daiwa are still trying to work that one out.

Tell you what Anto - order one for me and I'll drop the cash over to you when it arrives..!!! :D :D :D :D :D

I have another model Argento RV. The 8' 6" 6-28g model. I have only used it a few times so can't give a detailed review. My other rod is the original 2009 8' 6" Bushwhacker. Compared to the Bushwhacker the Argento feels far lighter in the hand and isn't as stiff (but is still fast actioned). As might be expected it is better with lighter sp's than the heavier Bushwhacker. It is also fine with 'standard' hard lures up to around the 20g mark.

A word of warning like many rods designed for the Japanese market it has a shorter handle when compared to a lot of other lure rods such as the Bushwhacker. This takes a bit of getting used to. From what I can gather some anglers love the shorter handled rods and now find the standard handles clumsy in comparison. However others can't get used to them.

Remember my Argento is a longer and heavier model than the one you are considering.

Couldn't resist and took the plunge and ordered one from the Rauken site :D

Have had to use a forwarding shipping company as most shops on the site wont post outside Japan.

Ordered the 9 foot argento which was 50% off, so will be happy man if it works.

P.s the shipping company offering free intl. shipping if ordered through rauken site until 27th Dec.

Let you know how it goes.

I think he should do the fair thing if he is selling it, and post in the for sale section like he said he was going to do :?

Nothing wrong with my offer John - this isn't the "for sale" section so pm's are not a problem. Less of the frowns please....! He wants to sell it, I offered to buy it, "fair" doesn't come into it. If it goes up on the for sale section and someone else gets there first that's fair enough and I've no issue with that as thats the way that forum works.
