Report:
Tried spiddal beach on thurs night.
Arrived at the beach just to see there was very little wave gave it a go anyway first 2 casts 3 flounder between me and dad lots of weed became a nuisance after that so moved down to the other side of the stream and there was no weed first cast there caught a coalie followed by 2 codling 20cm started to put the luminous beads on the rig under the headlamp and as the bait hit the water it was being attacked by small coalies was wondering if any1 else has caught bigger codling or cod in the area :)

Ya, they're around the area, caught a nice one last year and 40+ pollack from the kayak. Gonna try tomorrow to see of theres any around, plenty of wrasse about too.
