Ebay lures - Has anyone tried these?

#1 Post by magpie01 »

Hi Guys,

I was wondering has anyone tried these lures? They look like copies of a few IMA designs but for 1/10th of the price. Seems too good to be true! :?

tried a few last year, not overly exited about their quality, the hooks are pure rubbish and even after changing the trebles on them nearly all of them run very unbalanced and erratic, wont buy them again.

Cheers, yeh they look a bit dodgy. I was a bit skeptical that the hooks would rust up or break. I just thought I would ask in case they weren't bad. I think I'll save my money so! :)

many of these fleabay sites are selling inferior quality lures, last spring I bought a couple of top brand lures from here: https://www.eastackle.com/p-1150-tackle ... -128f.aspx and was pleasantly surprised with my experience.
I received the lot within a week and shipping was free. Not bad considering you can get the real article for a bit less then you normally have to pay.

i bought a few of these at the start of the year & to be honest they were great value for money & the actual quilty is'nt that bad either considering the price & iv caught plenty bass on them this summer where & when more expensive ones have failed.
id have no problem buying them again & had no problems with the seller either.

Cheers rooster. What were the hooks like? Did they rust or anything?

honestly, for the price there better then good & you'll get your one season out of the hooks no problem, like with some of the more expensive lures i use,i change the hooks every season anyway.dont like to use hooks that dont rust anyway fishing for bass just in case the fish does take the lure which has happened in the past.

As the old saying goes some of the gear out there now is to catch the fisherman and not the fish
The finest gift you can give a fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"
