Shimano Exage 4000

#1 Post by Tanglerat »

I see there's an newer model of the Exage 4000FB on the market - the 4000FC. Does anyone know if the spool from the 4000FB is compatabile with the 4000FC?

I reckon I'll need a new reel now, today saw some terminal type abuse that no reel would survive. But it'd be nice to to able to use the spools again on an FC, if I can't find an Exage 4000FB for sale.

Sorry its not a direct answer to your question but the spool for my Stradic 4000 fits my Exage 4000 RCDH?? Quite possible then that your 4000FB might fit the FC?

There's a thought, I have a spare Nexave 4000 kicking around somewhere, I'll dig it out and check.

if you cant locate a Surecatch Unity UTF45 try the Sakura Alpax 4008FD. It is the same reel in a different colour. http://www.monstertackle.com/fishinglur ... -reel.html

Postman brough me a box today - I can answwer my own question now.

Yes, the spools for the 4000 FB and the 4000FC are indeed interchangable. Lovely reel.

Got it from Mick in MrFish, Jersey because I wanted a few more bits and bobs that he supplies. £70 inc delivery. You can find them cheaper on the net.
