ballymoney

#1 Post by robbiemag »

People:Meself, Tipp John, Ferg

Duration:7.30pm til 2.00am

Tide:Rise and Drop

Weather:Lovely mild and calm

Bait:Rag. Lug, Razor, Crab and mack

Rigs:Pulley and 2 hook flapper

Results:Loads of dogs, few small pups and a small ray

Report:
Headed to the courtown area to try for the last of the smoothies. Seem to be well gone now. It was a lovely evening. Sea was flat calm. There was a full moon out. Set up 2 rods. One in near with lug and crab and one at distance with mack and razor. Near rod didnt budge all night. Baits were comin in as they went out. All fish were got at distance and taken on mack. First couple of hours were very slow and not a bite. As the tide turned and started to drop the beach came alive. We were getting fish one after another. Was hoping on a good smoothie or maybe a stray bass but did not happen. Was a good evening all the same. Good to get out and catch something and not blank  Wont be long now till were headin further south in hunt for the bass
