Impromptu session

#1 Post by Tanglerat »

People: Just me.

Duration: 1.5 hours.

Tide: Bottom of the ebb and just turned.

Weather: Sunny.

Bait: No bait - metal lures.

Rigs: 20g Flashmer & 15g Halco Twisty.

Results: 3 sea trout, 2 pollock, 1 mackeral.

Report:
This was a bit of an impromptu session. I hadn't meant to go fishing, but I was nearby and had always fancied this mark would throw up something if I ever got around to actually fishing it. Turns out that keeping enough tackle in the car to equipt a mobile tackle shop does come in handy for some emergency fishing now and again.

Anyhoo, I wandered and worked my way along the mark. Sea trout was a distinct possibility here, but I was surprised to bring in a couple of pollock too as well as the mackeral. Nice bonus fishies there. All fish were returned, the ST being a bit on the small side. But I reckon there're bigger fish lurking, so I'll be back to this mark in the near future.
