Rod Cam

I've done a few reel cams, so thought I'd point the camera the other way. I only got a gentle Off the ground cast (150ish yards) as a warm up.
I filmed, or thought I had filmed several full pendulum casts after but the memory card was full!!
Def back out tomorrow night to do it again.

Surprised how quick the rod snaps shut.

Very fast. Was actually shocked how fast it recovers. Will get to film a pendulum cast 2mrw hopefully. Wasn't much put into that effort.

is that because of the little effort you used that it recovered so quick?
Also goes to prove what can be achieved with minimal effort if you have a good base cast/technique.

Could well be that reason. Obviously I was casting just a plain lead too, no bait etc.

Pendulum Cast - Was casting a bit crap tonight. Crackoff central, and got my line cut by a passing boat when reeling in and got soaked too. Filmed one cast and went home.

Nice vids,, great to see how the rod reacts during the cast, recovery is lightning fast too
