The wind swung from NW to S overnight….a good sign and I headed for one of me favourite beaches . This beach fishes best at the bottom and top of the tide.
The surf was picture perfect and I could nearly smell the bass. No sooner had my bait hit the water and BANG the rod jumped . A small schoolie arrived in quickly. Second cast the same and a nice 4lb bass arrived. 3rd cast the rod was nearly taken out of my hands but I lost the fish. 4th cast a small bang. That was it as there was no bite for the next 2.5 hours. Next day I tried again without a bite.
