Hello my name is Derek live Lucan area have been beech casting for ten years or so mosly of same Wexford beech this forum fantastic full of tips .species I've caught dabs ,flounder, unusual catches from beach I got monkfish only the once 8 pound bass big blonde ray and can't class this but last August rod broke from beech top ring came off and rod bent in half felt like a massive ray so that's it really and line snapped.

welcome to the site derek,it can be a treasure trove of knowledge.i know it was invaluable to me my first season with the boat.look forward to hearing of your escapades on the beaches .tightlines

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...
