Wexford report 20/07,21/07

Me and me bro:

hour before high tide till 11 at night both evenings:

friday calm sunny evening, saturday little on shore wind but ok :

sandeel, mack, rag. :

Rigs:

2 dogfish, a few smoothounds and a tasty bass.:



Haven really got the hang of this report business but here it goes, arrived down in wexford early friday evening and fished high water until about 11 o clock at night, think high water was about half 9,

Had two rods out roughly same distance one with mackeral and sandeel, the other with rag worm, first bite within the first half hour on the rag was a bass 54cm young brother reeled her in , delighted pb for me and him, and it tasted like it too (highlight of my summer so far bbq bass ).
Had only dogfish on the mackerel and nothing seemed interested in the sandeel so i stuck with the rag for the rest of the night and caught 3 or 4 smoothies all between 84cm and 90 cm.

Saturday night was all smoothies all around the same size, I cast them out and my younger brother 12 years old reeled them all in he was delighted but complained of sore arms , i couldnt think of a better way to be after a nights fishing ! all in all very enjoyable, hope to go back down for more very soon.. :
