Killiney 18/07/12

#1 Post by jack01986 »

People: Eric & MYself

Duration:8-11

Tide:Rising

Weather:Calm and Overcast

Bait:Rag and Mack

Rigs:Flappers and clip downs

Results: Whiting, Flounder, Dab, Gurnard, Corkwing & Ballan Wrasse, Dog Fish and Smoothhound.

Report: Had decided to try the rocks around Dalkey for some wrasse action and whatever else we could find but being to late we could only fish for an hour or so. Even so we managed to get a few wrasse each and a doggie. I also managed to crack off and lose my next trace on the next cast so a great start for me :D . So after making the decision to move so we didn't get caught by the tide we went over to Killiney beach. The bites were fairly quick in coming with whiting making up the majority of catches, as it started to become a bit darker the fish seemed to come on the feed a bit more with Eric getting a nice little Gurnard and Dab and myself getting a lively flounder and a smoothie at distance. All in all not a bad session.

I doubt it Roger, they seem to be hanging round in some serious numbers all right.
