Ennareilly - Poolbeg 18/07/2012

#1 Post by myworldfishing »

People: Me and 2

Duration: To long

Tide:Coming in

Weather:Lovely

Bait:Hardbacks, softys, peelers, mac and lug

Rigs: bertys

Results:4 dogs

Report: Headed to ennareilly to see could we finaly land a hound but on the way went to dig some lug and rag and see what crab we could find.

With the rain bashing us it was hard going finding lug but we kept at it and got a nice number, so had a look for rag... When we got to our rag spot it was like quick sand and when we dug all the rag were white bloated and dead.. Couldent understand it so we left things alone and went hunting crab.. Nop only 2 small hardbacks. We headed off with some frozen stuff and prayed to god the hounds were hungery.

Arrived on ennareilly about 8 and started fishing, straight away the bait strippers started cleaning our hooks, loads of small nibbles.. This carried on into the dusk, then we started getting bigger nibbles, about 10 the first dog was landed, and then 3 others in the space of 2 hours....

After 4 hours of the worst fishing I have ever had on ennareilly we decided to race to poolbeg and catch the drop for an hour. We arrived about 00:30 and the tide was still high so we baited up with big baits.... A peeler with 3 lug wraped around it and lashed it all together, sent it out and waitd.... 30 mins passed, so we done a bait change, it cam in perfect, not even a crab wanted it. Sp we baited up fresh and waited again.......

At 02:00 we decided to admit defeat with the water stripping out and went home again empty handed...........

Any one know a good beginners golf course? :(

This is sheer determination ! Too bad that it wasn't rewarded.

I heard that Stepaside golf is nice for beginners
