Results:
My first ever Bass :D

How ye lads, I am fairly new to this forum and this is my first time posting a report. The first of many I hope. To start off around 8 o clock I went and dug a few lug with the intention of going float fishing for wrasse and pollock but then when I got to the mark it was too rough for it so i threw in the towel. Thought it would be a shame to waste the lug so headed to the beach thinking I might catch a few flatties. Nothing happened for about an hour and then the road got an almighty wallop and I knew it was no flounder!! I got to land the fish easy enough and it was a nice fat bass, my first ever and it was the last thing I expected to get. Had no scales but it was 55cm long and fairly plump looking. I took a picture with my phone but it was too dark to see to be honest. Fish was safely returned after and I am delighted with myself to say the least. My first time to dig lug and my first bass after an hour, a great evening!!!

Well Done, it looked great down there yesterday but still a bit dirty and plenty of small weed around at the ends.

Thanks again lads. I had a grin from one ear to the other when I seen it coming in!! I went straight for the middle Neil because it was the shortest walk from where I parked  and didnt have any problem with the weeds for a change. Mick made me up a float rig for wrasse and pollack yesterday too, wish this wind would go away now so I could try it out. Got really big fat juicy lug in that place too, deep digging though!!
