Poolbeg Warning

#1 Post by timod »

Just a word of warning for anybody thinking of fishing Poolbeg. A friend of mine walked the pier yesterday evening to see if there was any fish being caught. He got back to his van and saw someone had popped the back door open, also a few cars with there windows broken. Not the first time I've heard of this at Poolbeg but just said I'd give a heads up.

Fair play for warning, just got a new car and was fishing down there last weekend, I was a bit nervous leaving it, now I think I'll just cycle down.

Little pox bottles... The lads I seen were about 16 - 17, they were at the the Powerstation, about 5 of them. There was no - one else on the pier ether because there was big black clouds heads inland so people wer'nt even getting out of the car.... They need a camera down there...

Sorry to hear that but thanks for the headup.Thats a mark I fish quite often and so far no problems but I am only 50/60 yards from the car and have a good headlamp that can light up the carpark.... Bas B*sta*ds hate to hear that happening. Was anything taken? Anyone call the gards? I have seen them driving down there a few times.

Nothing taken from my mates van,he had it cleared out to sell it the following day.I know he didn't call the guards but by the sounds of the amount of cars they got in to someone must have contacted them.I know I'll be thinking twice before heading further down the pier.
